How We Review Hosting

Our structured methodology for evaluating hosting providers. Every review follows the same criteria so you can compare providers on a level playing field.

Review Status System

Research Reviewed

Based on provider documentation, published pricing, available features and policies. We have not personally purchased and tested the hosting service. Most of our initial reviews use this status.

Hands-On Tested

We purchased the hosting, set up a real website and tested performance, support response and features. This label is only applied when actual testing data exists.

Long-Term Tested

Extended testing over several months or longer, including uptime monitoring, performance tracking and multiple support interactions over time.
